The Problem
Sports bars run on events. OpenTable is built for restaurants.
Sports bars run on events — game days, watch parties, private buyouts — but most manage reservations by phone and promote events through Instagram stories that disappear after 24 hours. OpenTable charges a per-cover fee on every booking and isn't built for the event-driven nature of sports bars. Generic site builders handle neither reservations nor events well, and leave the owner dependent on a platform they don't control.
OpenTable's per-cover fee means the bar pays for every guest who walks in through the platform — forever. Platform.co replaces it with a flat build fee and zero per-cover charge. Reservations, events, and the live scores board are all owned outright.
Live Scores

The "What's Live" board pulls from ESPN's official API — NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, College Football, College Basketball, and MLS. It shows how many games are live right now, how many are coming up today, and a live countdown to the next tip-off. Guests filter by day (up to 7 days ahead) or by sport.
For sports in the offseason, the most recent champion pulls from The Sports DB — the board is never blank. There's always a reason to check.
Events
Every event. Always current.
The weekly events calendar pulls live from Supabase. Recurring events — Trivia Night, Wing Night, Happy Hour — always appear. One-off events like a playoff watch party or a live act drop off automatically the day after they pass. No manual cleanup, no stale listings.
The owner adds or cancels events from the admin; the page reflects immediately. Private party and buyout inquiries come through a dedicated form routed straight to the owner's inbox.

Happy hour countdown. Full menu, filtered instantly.
A live countdown to happy hour starts and ends at exact times set by the owner in the admin — no code required. The full menu renders with client-side category filtering so guests can browse by section without a page reload. Every item is manageable from the dashboard.
